L’IRDEIC adresse ses plus chaleureuses félicitations à M. Joël Andriantsimbazovina,
M. Joël Andriantsimbazovina, agrégé des facultés de droit, professeur de droit public à l'Ecole de droit de l’Université Toulouse Capitole et membre de l’IRDEIC, a été nommé au sein du groupe d’experts de l’European Law Institute (ELI) consacré à l’avenir de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme face aux nouveaux défis globaux.
Ce groupe de travail, composé notamment d’anciens présidents et juges de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme ainsi que de spécialistes reconnus du droit européen des droits fondamentaux, a pour objectif d’engager une réflexion prospective sur l’évolution du système de protection instauré par la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme.

Professeur à l’École de droit de Toulouse (Université Toulouse Capitole), Joël Andriantsimbazovina est codirecteur du Master Droit des libertés, directeur du DU Médiation, dialogue social et règlement des conflits en Afrique, conseiller scientifique (projets, sciences humaines et sociales) au Département de la recherche du Haut Conseil de l’évaluation de la recherche et de l’enseignement supérieur (HCERES), et responsable du Centre de droit comparé (CDC) de l’Institut de Recherche en Droit International, Européen et Comparé (IRDEIC).
L’European Law Institute (ELI) est une organisation indépendante qui rassemble des universitaires, juges, avocats et autres praticiens du droit issus de l’ensemble de l’Europe. Créé en 2011 sous la forme d’une association internationale sans but lucratif (AISBL) de droit belge, l’Institut a pour objectif de contribuer au développement et à l’amélioration du droit européen.
Inspiré du modèle de l’American Law Institute (ALI), l’ELI constitue un forum de réflexion et d’expertise destiné à promouvoir la qualité du droit en Europe. Il mène des travaux de recherche et formule des recommandations sur des questions juridiques d’intérêt européen, en favorisant le dialogue entre le monde académique, les juridictions et les praticiens du droit.
Les projets conduits par l’ELI portent notamment sur l’évolution des systèmes juridiques européens, l’harmonisation du droit et les défis contemporains auxquels le droit est confronté dans un contexte international.
Cette nomination témoigne de la reconnaissance de son expertise scientifique dans le domaine du droit constitutionnel et des droits fondamentaux au niveau européen. L’IRDEIC se réjouit de voir l’un de ses membres contribuer aux travaux de cette instance de réflexion réunissant des juristes de premier plan.
Professor Joël Andriantsimbazovina, agrégé des facultés de droit, Professor of Public Law at the Toulouse School of Law (Université Toulouse Capitole) and member of IRDEIC, has been appointed to the expert group of the European Law Institute (ELI) dedicated to the future of the European Convention on Human Rights in the face of new global challenges.
This working group, which notably includes former Presidents and judges of the European Court of Human Rights as well as leading specialists in European fundamental rights law, aims to engage in forward-looking reflection on the evolution of the protection system established by the European Convention on Human Rights.
Professor at the Toulouse School of Law (Université Toulouse Capitole), Joël Andriantsimbazovina is Co-Director of the Master’s programme in Fundamental Rights Law, Director of the University Diploma in Mediation, Social Dialogue and Conflict Resolution in Africa, Scientific Adviser (projects, humanities and social sciences) at the Research Department of the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES), and Head of the Centre for Comparative Law (CDC) within the Institute for Research in International, European and Comparative Law (IRDEIC).
